How to pin a Web App

How to pin a PWA to the home screen of our mobile device

There is the possibility of pinning a url to the home screen of a device.
In the case of Stay, we can use it to set up a web app and not have to read the QR several times during the stay.

This is what the PWA will look like pinned to the device, just like the icon of a downloaded app. In this case the icon is generic, but is customized by brand.

The characteristics of the icon must be the following:

- Recommended size 512x512 px
- White background
- PNG format

Although it is short and easy, the process depends on the device's operating system.

 

ANDROID

Read QR and open the url in Google Chrome > open options/settings dropdown (button with 3 dots) > Add to home screen > Install

IOS/APPLE

Read QR > click on Share icon > Add to home screen > Add
