In the CMS's Settings > Corporate > Reports section, you can view customized reports with different metrics for all your hotels without having to go property by property to view this data.
The reports are created from the Analytics section, choosing the metrics or graphs you want to include in a given report. Once chosen, you can apply different filters from the report view.
Let's see step by step how to create a report:
- Go to CMS Settings - Corporate - Analytics.
- Review section by section which metrics or graphs you want to incorporate into the report (you can choose metrics from any section within Analytics)
- Click on the plus icon (+) to add a metric to a report. A window will pop up for you to choose the report to add that graph to, or to create a new report.
If, while viewing a chart in the Analytics section, you apply a filter to the chart (Group by / Filter by buttons) and then add the chart to a report, the chart will be added to the report with that filter applied. If you want to modify the filter once you are in the report view, you will have to go back to Analytics to add the chart again with the modified filter, and it will be saved as a new chart in the report.
4. Once you have chosen the metrics you want to include in a report, you can view the aggregated result in the Reports section of the top menu.5. From the Custom reports screen, you can view the list of reports created and perform several actions:
- Check out a report: clicking the report name will open the details. From here, you can also download it in PDF or CSV format using the down arrow button at the top right of the screen. You can also edit the report name from the button next to the report name, and delete metrics from the report using the trash can button next to each one.
- Edit the report name: you can rename the report by clicking on the pencil icon in the Actions column.
- Duplicate a report: you can create a copy of the report by clicking on the duplicate icon (second icon in the Actions column).
- Delete a report: you can delete a report by clicking on the trash can icon.
6. When opening a report (click the name), you can apply these four filters:
- Brands: if applicable, choose one or more brands from the drop-down list;
- Properties: select one or more properties from the drop-down list;
- Date range: choose the date range you want to check;
- Compare to: you can compare the selected date range with the same period of the previous week, the same period of the previous month, or the same period of the previous year.
You can change the filters applied to the report results whenever needed. The report will keep the metrics included in it, regardless of the filter you apply each time you check it.
