How to add On Demand bookings/requests manually in the CMS

We might need to introduce requests and bookings for on demand services manually. Maybe because guests will ask for them through a different way which is not via the app. We will then need to add them so they are registered on the user’s agenda and also on the CMS so we can have better control and monitoring.

The on demand requests and bookings are both introduced in the same CMS section. We will only need to understand the main difference between them:

  • Requests: when the guest asks for amenities, issues and housekeeping.
  • Bookings: when the guest asks for a reservation in a restaurant, spa, room service…

Route: ACTIVITY > REQUESTS

How to add a Booking

  1. Click on the “Add booking” option and complete the fields in the pop up window:
    • Search guest: Type the name of the guest. If he has already logged in, his data will be automatically completed right after introducing his name or room number. If not, we will have to add it manually.
    • What do you want to request?: Start typing the item we are searching for and a list of possible items will be displayed to choose one of them.
    • Number of guests: Select the number of guests that will attend the booking, between a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 6.
    • Date: The system will show up all the available dates bearing in mind the guest’s stay and the booking configuration set for that service.
    • Turn: The system will show up all the time slots available for that date (previously selected) bearing in mind the guest’s stay and the booking configuration set for that service.
    • Status: Select the status for the request we are creating, choosing between: New or Solved (approved).
    • Guest comment: Insert a comment if needed; for example, if the guest has an allergy or any special need.
  2. Click on the “Book” button.
